Louisiana’s Outdoor, Science and Technology Camp, or as most 4-H members know it, LOST Camp, is a great way to close out the summer for many 7th and 8th graders. This camp is held annually at Camp Grant Walker in Polluck, Louisiana (take a tour of camp by clicking here) and focuses on bringing together facets of the outdoors with science and technology.
Each summer, the Camp Staff and 4-H Staff work hard to put together an exciting camp that allows participants to think more critically about the world that surrounds them. At camp, campers choose 3 tracks to participate in throughout the week. These tracks provide more in-depth, hands-on education that is presented in a fun, interactive way. This year’s tracks included: videography, wetlands, outdoor skills, ATV, equine science, SET, environmental science, water safety, and first aid. Check out what some of the fun looked like!

Outside of track time, campers also have recreational and free time to be able to take part in other activities that camp provides such as canoeing, swimming, tubing, archery, sports, arts and crafts, and MORE! Of course, we can’t forget the nightly dances!
As summer draws to a close, we’re glad to have been able to take part in such a fun experience. LOST Camp provided many laughs, many new friendships, and many new memories for all of us. Special thank you to all of the State 4-H and Camp Staff who made it all possible!
